Marco Petrus was born in Rimini in 1960 and made his debut on the art scene in Milan in 1991. In 1993, presented by Rossana Bossaglia, he exhibited at Centro Arte S.Fedele in Milan and was among the winners of the Region of Lombardy's San Carlo Borromeo Prize. In 1995 he participated in international reviews at Pully Museum in Switzerland and AEG Kunstlerforderung in Berlin.

In 1999 he participated in Sulla Pittura ("On Painting", Palazzo Sarcinelli, Conegliano) and was invited by Arnaldo Romani Brizzi to participate in La Pittura Ritrovata ("Painting Rediscovered", Museo del Risorgimento, Rome). In the late nineties he was a member of Officina Milanese.

Petrus' urban landscapes are included in the exhibition Sui Generis at the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea in Milan, curated by Alessandro Riva, who also curated Petrus' solo show at Palazzo delle Stelline (2003), with presentation of a monograph publishe   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 8723 characters.]  Artist bio
